Union Flag Number Plates (UK)

The Union Flag is an optional printed flag for number plates made by us. It prints on the left edge of the plate face, where a national flag sits on a UK plate, and can be added to any plate style we make, from printed and 3D gel to every 4D style. The design is the flag of the United Kingdom: the red cross of St George over the white saltire of St Andrew and the red saltire of St Patrick, on a blue ground.

Fits

Any car, van or motorbike plate we make, in any style, except our hex plates, which have no space for a flag. The flag is printed onto the plate as part of the reflective face when we make it. If your car is fully electric, the Green Flash with Union Flag combines the two markings.

A national flag is permitted on the left of a UK plate. The flag replaces nothing the law requires on the plate, and it does not by itself make a plate legal to use abroad. What to order

Choose the Union Flag as the flag option when you set up your plates in the builder. The plates themselves need the documents listed on our valid documents page before we can make them.
