Green Flash & Union Flag Number Plates

from £2.00
The Green Flash with Union Flag is an optional printed marking for number plates made by us, for fully electric vehicles. It combines the green flash that identifies a zero-emission vehicle with the Union Flag printed inside it, in one marking on the leftmost edge of the plate face. It can be added to any plate style we make, from printed and 3D gel to every 4D style. It carries both markings at once, for a fully electric car whose owner also wants the flag.
Fits
Any car, van or motorbike plate we make, in any style, except our hex plates, which have no space for a flag or green flash. The marking is printed onto the plate as part of the reflective face when we make it. For the flash on its own, see the Green Flash; for the flag without the flash, see the Union Flag.
The green flash is permitted on eligible vehicles and is designed for fully electric vehicles, so do not add it to a plate for a vehicle that does not qualify. A national flag is permitted on the left of a UK plate. Neither marking replaces anything the law requires on the plate. The green flash by itself does not make a plate legal to use abroad, and nor does the flag. Check the rules of the country you are driving in.

No. We offer the green flash on its own or with the Union flag only. If you want the St George, Saltire or Welsh flag, choose that flag without the green flash.
This plate carries the Union flag with UK beneath it. GOV.UK says you do not need a UK sticker if your number plate carries the UK identifier with the Union flag. You must still display one in Spain, Cyprus and Malta, whatever is on the plate. You do not need one in Ireland, whatever is on the plate. This is about the UK sticker only; check the other requirements of the countries you will drive through. The rules are on GOV.UK's page about flags, identifiers and stickers.
