How your logo plate is made
Each plate uses the same acrylic plate and reflective sheet as our road plates, made in County Durham. Your logo is printed in solid black on a white or yellow background.
Every design is checked by a person before it is printed, and plates are dispatched the next working day after that check.
Artwork guidelines
Upload a PNG, JPG or WebP file up to 15 MB. The sharpest results come from a large PNG exported from your original artwork, ideally with a transparent background.
We print in black only, so the builder turns your logo into pure black and white. Use the threshold slider to choose which parts print, and Invert for a light logo on a dark background.
The builder warns you if your file is too small for the plate size you have chosen, and shows a close-up at actual print resolution so you can judge the edges before you order.
Logo only, never road legal
A logo plate carries no registration and cannot be used on a vehicle on the road. The builder has no text box, and every order confirms the design is not a vehicle registration.

Showroom plate FAQs
Can logo plates be used on the road?
No. A logo plate has no registration, so it is a display plate only. Use it in a showroom, on private land, at shows and events, or in photos.
Why can I not add a registration or my own text?
To keep every logo plate clearly a display plate. The builder prints your logo only, and every design is checked by a person before it is made.
Is a showroom plate the same as a trade plate?
No. Trade plates are issued by the DVLA to motor traders so they can drive untaxed vehicles on the road. A showroom plate is a display plate with your logo on it and is not for road use.
Do I need a V5C or ID to order?
No. There is no registration on a logo plate, so there are no documents to check.
What file should I upload?
A PNG, JPG or WebP up to 15 MB. A large PNG exported from your original artwork gives the sharpest edges. The builder tells you if the file is too small for the size you have chosen.
Can you print my logo in colour?
No. We print in solid black on a white or yellow reflective background. The preview shows exactly how your logo will look in black.
Which size should I choose?
Standard 520 × 111 mm suits most cars. Oversize 535 × 152 mm and the 4x4 square 279 × 203 mm fit larger plate recesses, Import (Japanese/US) 330 × 178 mm fits imported cars, and Motorbike 230 × 178 mm fits bikes.
Can I have a white front and a yellow rear?
Yes. Add the design twice, once with a white background and once with yellow. Each plate is priced separately.
How quickly will my plates be made?
A person checks every design first. Once it is approved, your plates are dispatched the next working day.
Do you do bulk orders for dealerships?
Yes. You can order up to 50 of a design at once online. For larger or regular orders, contact us for a quote.
