St George's Flag Number Plates

The St George's Flag is an optional printed flag for number plates made by us: the red cross of St George on a white ground, the national flag of England. It prints on the left edge of the plate face and can be added to any plate style we make, printed, 3D gel or any of our 4D styles. It is the flag flown for England's national teams and on St George's Day, and drivers choose it to mark the car as English rather than British.

Fits

Any car, van or motorbike plate we make, in any style, except our hex plates, which have no space for a flag. The cross is printed onto the plate as part of the reflective face when we make it. For a British rather than English marking, see the Union Flag.

UK rules allow a national flag on the left-hand side of the plate, and the St George's Cross is one of the flags permitted there. Having it on the plate does not make the plate legal abroad on its own. Before you drive outside the UK, check what the country you are visiting requires. It replaces nothing the law requires on the plate.

What to order

Choose the St George's Flag as the flag option when you set up your plates in the builder. We need the documents listed on our valid documents page before we make the plates.
