Yes. All number plates supplied by Utopia Plates are manufactured in accordance with current UK regulations and the relevant British Standard at the time of manufacture.

We are a DVLA Registered Number Plate Supplier (RNPS) and only produce plates that meet legal requirements for size, font, spacing, reflectivity, and materials. Every order is made using compliant components and checked before dispatch.

Utopia Plates does not sell show plates, as they could be used on the road, even though the manufacturer may sell them on the basis that they will not be. For this reason, it is illegal for a Registered Number Plate Supplier to produce any number plates featuring a legitimate registration if they do not conform to the British Standard for number plates. As such, we will not sell show plates (this includes tinted plates, blank plates or those with non-standard spacing). We will only produce fully road legal plates, with standard spacing (as it appears on your V5C).

No, this is not road legal. The centre of the number plates must feature the company name and postcode of the manufacturer for them to conform to the British Standard. We cannot print your name or any other slogan in this space.

Our warranty policy provides a 36-month cover for any manufacturing or material defects in your number plates. This includes issues like water getting between the reflective and acrylic layers, delamination, or loss of lettering that wasn't caused by damage. For a more extensive protection, we suggest you look at our Accidental Damage Cover. This policy gives you two (2) like-for-like replacement number plates if they're accidentally damaged, and this cover lasts for 2 years from your purchase date.

Your dispatch time for number plates varies depending on your specific order.

If you've ordered a private registration from us, we dispatch your number plates as soon as we receive the V750 Certificate of Entitlement from the DVLA, unless you've requested a different arrangement.

For orders involving only number plates, without a private registration, we typically dispatch the plates on the same day we receive your proof of address and proof of entitlement documents. While this isn't a guarantee, we're proud to say that our service is very quick.

Yes, you can cancel your order, however, it's important to note that we have a cancellation policy in place.

For number plates, you have the right to cancel from the moment the order is placed, until either the manufacturing process begins or 90 days have elapsed.

For private registration orders, cancellations must be made within 30 minutes of placing the order. A cancellation fee equivalent to the Administration Fee on the order will be deducted from your refund. Please note that due to the bespoke nature of these orders, the 30-minute window for cancellations is strictly adhered to.
