Legality Statement Card

We often get asked if we can provide something to prove that 3D gel and 4D laser cut number plates are road legal. This is typically because of the fear that the Police and MOT stations may not understand they are actually approved for road use.

Currently, we don’t provide this content when you purchase number plates from us, but we have decided to create this downloadable card which explains the legal status of the number plates. You can download this for free, and keep it on your phone or print it off to keep in your car, giving you something you can produce if ever needed.

Please note: This card is downloadable by anyone, and as such cannot guarantee the legality of the number plates in use. Any number plates sourced from Utopia Plates since August 2019 will be fully road legal.
